☀️ September Devotional Theme: “Walking in Wisdom”

In the heart of summer, we’re reminded to walk not only in joy and purpose—but in wisdom. God's wisdom shapes our relationships, our homes, and our personal decisions. Wisdom isn’t just knowledge—it's applied truth led by the Spirit.

👫 Married Couples

  • Scripture (KJV): Proverbs 24:3–4
  • "Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches."
  • Big Idea: A wise marriage is built intentionally—on trust, understanding, and shared faith.
  • Lesson Focus: Strengthen your marriage by seeking God’s wisdom for your words, decisions, and future together.

Weekly Application

  • Pray for the right words before hard conversations. Practice active listening this week.
  • Week 2: Wisdom in Unity

Prayer:

Lord, give us wisdom to love with patience, lead with humility, and live with purpose. Build our home on Your truth and guide us as we grow together in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

💠 Singles

  • Scripture (KJV): James 1:5
  • "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
  • Big Idea: God offers wisdom freely to those who seek it—especially in seasons of personal growth, transition, and decision-making.
  • Lesson Focus: Learn to make choices in singleness that reflect spiritual maturity, self-worth, and divine direction.

Weekly Application

  • Week 1: Wisdom in Identity
  • Reflect on who God says you are. Meditate on Psalm 139 and journal what makes you uniquely His.
  • Week 2: Wisdom in Relationships
  • Evaluate your friendships and connections. Are they sharpening your walk with Christ or draining you?
  • Week 3: Wisdom in Purpose
  • Revisit your God-given dreams. Set one spiritual or career goal and ask God to order your steps.
  • Week 4: Wisdom in Waiting
  • Trust God’s timing. Practice contentment by listing what you're grateful for in this current season.

Prayer:

God, help me to walk wisely in every area of life. Teach me to listen, obey, and trust You with the unknown. Let my choices honor You and reflect Your wisdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🏡 Families

  • Scripture (KJV): Proverbs 3:5–6
  • "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
  • Big Idea: Families thrive when they rely on God’s wisdom rather than their own strength.
  • Lesson Focus: Teach and practice trust, decision-making, and godly direction as a household.
