"Living Under God’s Goodness and Mercy"

The TEXT

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever."

—Psalm 23:6 (KJV)

David, a man after God’s own heart, experienced many highs and lows in his life—victory and defeat, joy and sorrow, peace and hardship. Yet, in Psalm 23, he declares with confidence that "surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life." This was not a mere hope but a deep assurance that God’s love, favor, and protection would never leave him.

God’s goodness provides for us, sustains us, and blesses us beyond what we deserve. His mercy forgives, restores, and gives us another chance when we fall short. These are not occasional gifts but daily realities for those who trust in Him. No matter what we face, His goodness and mercy follow us—they are always present, always working, always covering us.

David knew that his ultimate dwelling place was in the presence of the Lord. This is our promise too. When we abide in God, we live under His divine care, experiencing His love in ways beyond our understanding.

Whatever season you are in—whether a time of joy or trial—remember that God’s goodness and mercy are pursuing you. You are never alone, never without His grace, and never outside of His loving hand.

3 WAYS IT CAN APPLY TO ME

1.Recognize God’s Goodness Daily: Look for the ways God is providing, protecting, and blessing you, even in small ways.

2.Rest in His Mercy: When you make mistakes, don’t run from God—run to Him. His mercy is always available.

3.Live with Confidence: Walk in faith knowing that His goodness and mercy will be with you no matter what you face.

Let US PRAY

Lord, I am grateful for Your goodness and mercy that follow me every day. Help me to trust in Your provision, lean on Your grace, and walk with confidence in Your love. No matter what comes my way, I know You are with me. Thank You for being my Shepherd and my refuge.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Be Blessed Always Family,

Bro.Brady.
